This course introduces basic surface embroidery stitches. The stitches are used in crewel embroidery, freestyle embroidery and other forms of fabric embellishment.
What projects will I make?
This course lays the foundation of materials and stitches you need to create your own projects. It is a technique course, not a project course. There are links included to free projects available at epidastudio.com and projects are included in the optional book, Simple Embroidery.
Does this include cross stitch?
Cross stitch is a different style of embroidery. Some stitches (like back stitch) can be used to embellish cross stitch, but this course does not include cross stitch specific instructions.
